In a bid to increase visitor satisfaction and promoting domestic tourism, the management of Uganda Wildlife Authority has commissioned a number of self catering units in the Mweya peninsula.

The new facilities boast of 22 beds and other facilities ideal for family and group accommodation. Also renovated is the deck at the Visitor information centre, the Tembo canteen and the campsites.

The park management has also popularized the northern route from the Queen’s pavilion through the explosive craters drive where visitors experience the panoramic scenery.
